Warranty Policy
This product is covered by a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated on your invoice.
Flex Adventures warrants to the original end-user that its products are free from defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal operating conditions and in accordance with the applicable user manual and product guidelines.
1. What the Warranty Covers
This warranty covers:
- Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
- Faults occurring during normal intended use within the warranty period
- Repair or replacement of the product, at the sole discretion of Flex Adventures
If a fault occurs within the warranty period and the claim is approved, Flex Adventures may:
- Repair the product; or
- Replace the product with the same model or a functionally equivalent product where applicable
Replacement products may include refurbished or reconditioned units of equivalent standard.
2. Warranty Period
- The warranty period begins on the original date of purchase, as reflected on the proof of purchase or invoice.
- The warranty period does not restart if the product is repaired or replaced.
- Any repaired or replacement product will continue under the remaining balance of the original warranty period.
3. Proof of Purchase
- Valid proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
- If proof of purchase has been lost or misplaced, Flex Adventures may attempt to assist in verifying the purchase history; however, warranty approval without proof of purchase is not guaranteed.
4. Warranty Claims & Repair Procedure
All products must be returned to Flex Adventures or a registered repair agent of Flex Adventures for inspection , testing, and assessment before a warranty claim can be approved.
The customer is responsible for safely packaging and delivering or couriering the product to Flex Adventures unless otherwise agreed in writing.
If the Warranty Claim is Approved
Flex Adventures will cover:
- Repair or replacement costs
- Return courier costs within South Africa
If the Warranty Claim is Not Approved
Flex Adventures will:
- Provide a quotation for repair costs (if repairable)
- Provide a quotation for courier or return shipping costs
- Proceed with repairs only once the quotation has been approved and payment has been received
Products found to be in full working order, or where no fault is found, may be subject to inspection, labour, and courier charges.
Flex Adventures will not be liable for courier costs relating to products submitted for repair that are found to be in full working order.
5. Packaging & Shipping Responsibility
Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are packaged safely and securely before shipment.
Flex Adventures recommends:
- Using suitable protective packaging material such as bubble wrap or foam
- Protecting screens, corners, control panels, and delicate components
- Using sturdy outer cartons suitable for the product weight
- Clearly labelling parcels as “FRAGILE” where applicable
Flex Adventures shall not be held liable for damage caused during transit due to insufficient or improper packaging.
For products requiring testing accessories (such as power supplies, adapters, cables, remotes, or controllers), all required accessories must be included. Delays caused by missing accessories are not the responsibility of Flex Adventures.
6. Labour & Out-of-Warranty Repairs
Labour for out-of-warranty repairs is charged at R650.00 Ex VAT per hour, excluding spare parts and additional materials.
Out-of-warranty quotations are subject to supplier pricing and parts availability.
7. Unauthorized Repairs
All warranty repairs must be performed solely by Flex Adventures or a registered repair agent of Flex Adventures.
This warranty will become void if:
- Repairs are attempted by unauthorized persons
- The product has been modified, altered, dismantled, or tampered with without written approval from Flex Adventures
Flex Adventures will not be liable for any damages, losses, or costs arising from unauthorized repairs or modifications.
8. Geographical Limitation
This warranty applies within South Africa only.
Warranty claims originating outside South Africa require prior written approval from Flex Adventures and may be subject to additional courier, customs, or handling costs.
9. Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover faults, failures, or damage resulting from:
- Normal wear and tear
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality
- General maintenance or servicing
- Incorrect installation or improper use
- Abuse, misuse, negligence, or unintended use
- Accidental damage
- Improper storage or transportation
- Water or liquid damage
- Power surges, voltage fluctuations, incorrect power supply, or inadequate ventilation
- Environmental or external causes
- Acts of God, including lightning, flooding, fire, storms, or extreme weather
- Public disturbances or civil unrest
- Commercial or industrial use where the product was intended for consumer use only
- Unauthorized modifications, alterations, or repairs
Any repair costs associated with the above exclusions will be for the customer’s account.
10. Unrepairable or Uncollected Products
If a product is deemed beyond economical repair and the customer elects not to proceed with collection or repair, Flex Adventures may retain the unit for spare parts recycling or disposal.
Any product not collected within 3 (three) months from the date of repair completion notification or quotation issuance will be deemed abandoned.
Ownership of abandoned items will transfer to Flex Adventures, and the product may be disposed of, resold, or used for parts without further notice.
11. Third-Party Retailers & Resellers
Products purchased through third-party retailers, distributors, resellers, online marketplaces, or external sales platforms (including but not limited to Takealot) remain subject to the refund, credit, exchange, and returns policies of the original seller.
In such cases:
- Flex Adventures acts solely as the authorised inspection and repair centre for warranty assessment and technical support.
- Any requests relating to refunds, credits, replacements, exchanges, or cancellations must be directed to the original point of purchase.
- Approval of refunds, credits, or exchanges remains at the discretion of the retailer or reseller in accordance with their policies and applicable consumer legislation.
For products purchased directly from Flex Adventures, including:
- In-store purchases
- Purchases made through the official Flex Adventures online store
Flex Adventures will manage applicable refunds, credits, exchanges, or replacements in accordance with company policy and South African consumer protection laws.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flex Adventures shall not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Loss of income, business, or profits
- Loss of stored contents or personal items
- Delays caused by supplier shortages, courier delays, or circumstances beyond reasonable control
Customers are advised to remove all personal contents and detachable accessories before submitting products for repair.
13. Additional Information
- Flex Adventures reserves the right to refuse any warranty claim that does not comply with these warranty terms and conditions.
- Warranty terms and policies are subject to change without prior notice.
- These policies apply strictly to warranty-related services only.
- Nothing in this policy limits any rights afforded to consumers under applicable South African consumer protection legislation.
